A Silent Question Beside the Flame
Some item descriptions hint that not all Firekeepers were eager servants. One early Firekeeper is said to have hesitated.
Fragments from Lost Texts
- A burned page in an old tome references a woman who "refused to ring the bell that would wake the flame."
- Another scrap calls her **"keeper of the unlit shrine"**.
What Was Her Doubt?
Possibilities:
1. She knew that linking the flame meant chaining souls to another cycle.
2. She believed letting the world fall into dark would free it from a hollow loop.
3. She loved someone who would be sacrificed to become fuel.
Her doubt foreshadows every player's choice at each ending – link the fire, walk away, or seek something else.
